Can I use my own Payment Tag in a Localiza car?

In this case, you can:

  • At the service counter, request the deactivation of the Tag provided by Localiza, or
  • In our Customer Portal, unlink the Tag from the vehicle by accessing the "Tag Management" menu.

Reminder: Please be aware that the status change can take up to 6 hours to be confirmed by toll operators after the first use. There is no cost to use your own Tag, but the Localiza Tag must remain attached to the windshield. Before returning the car, your own Tag must be removed from the windshield and unlinked in the provider's app. Simply removing the sticker does not guarantee the service is deactivated, as the reading can also occur via the car's license plate.
